  1. I was at one of my suppliers when one of their employees approached me and asked if I had fishing rods stolen. I replied yes in deed I have. Well this guy found some rods near his house last October and reported it to the police. I got his name and phone number and went to the police station. At first, with me being me, demanding they go through their recovered property and see if they have my rods. Emails went back and forth to the point they said the items I was looking for were not recovered and it must have been mistaken. Well, a week goes by, low and behold, I receive another email from the stolen property recovery stating they in fact DO HAVE MY RODS. With the description and photos submitted, it was without a doubt, my property the email said. I go to the station and was quickly reunited with my fishing rods! Everything in tact, only, my IMX tip top guide is missing the SIC insert. The police had them in their possession 4 days after reported stolen! 😳 Bottom line.... I'M HAPPY TO HAVE MY HIGH END RODS BACK! CHEERS...

  2. Buy 1 good saltwater rod that fits and use one of the musky reels is the easiest route to go. Art

  4. might be a bit expensive now for 4" white PVC with screw on end caps. I made myself a long case from home depot for some air travel trips where I had 7 and 7.5 ft rods. To cushion the rods I glued in a cheap yoga mat from dollar store roughly 1 foot at each ends. Also you could see if there is still summer stuff out and grab the small 4ft cheap pool noodles. Split one side with and x-acto knife and slip the rod into the center space from tip to handle. You'll need to buy 2 to do the long rods and then these can be stored in 8' sections of that central vacuum tubes/pipes. These are cheaper than the white PVC Travel secured in truck bed and take them in at night

  5. Greetings all. I am a retired lawyer/Small Claims Court judge, 69, been an avid fisherman since I was a teenager. I have a fishing trip planned on Eagle Lake near Dryden in NW Ontario this coming September. The fellow who has been accompanying me on this trip for the past several years has had to drop out this year so I am seeking a replacement. Here's the lodge: https://www.templebay.com/ Tremendous fishing for walleye, bass, lake trout, jumbo perch, pike and the odd rogue musky and whitefish. Full American Plan, meals provided including shore lunches, fully guided each day, and their guides are extremely knowledgeable and a heck of a lot of fun to fish with.. September fishing is great with the colour in the trees, lots of wildlife like moose, deer, bear, and bald eagles. Super drive up there over several days with overnights in motels. I've done this trip so many times I know all the good motels to stop at (and the bad ones to avoid) and the good restaurants for meals on the way (and the bad ones to avoid); super scenery as we round Lake Superior. I live in Thornhill so if from the GTA we'd leave on Thursday 15 September arrive at the lodge just after lunch on Saturday 17 September. We fish to Thursday 22 September, leave after breakfast on Friday 23 September and make our way back. If you're not in the GTA may have to adjust that timing accordingly. It's not cheap. . . roughly $2800 per person plus tips. . . cost of motels and gas for my vehicle we split at the end. But while not cheap, it's tremendous value for the money, the service we receive from the owner to the manager to the cook, the waitresses, the cleaning staff, and of course the guides is top rate across the board. So if you are interested shoot me a private message and I can provide more details as needed.
