  1. Well I thought I'd share something fresh out of the shop this morning. This rod will soon be heading to BC to battle Saltwater Steelies on the Skeena watershed. I honestly have not been grinding builds out of the shop for years now, just a handful each year and my friend has been patiently waiting over three years for me to get this one under construction. His desire was for me to use a beautiful piece of stabilized Juniper burl but it was not cooperating with me, it kept chipping out so I convinced him into going with a piece of Big Leaf Maple burl. He liked it very much, I hope y'all do as well. Happy Saturday Folks, time to wind guides.

  2. I am referring to both...yes they sold off Power Sports, but that business was long supported with gov't money. Given that they bought Evinrude to get into the outboard motor market...20 years later they're no further ahead and managed to kill off an iconic brand in the process. As for the former parent that's making jets...well that might as well be a Crown Corporation. Both CEO's are born and bred Québecers (not that there's anything wrong with that)...and the BRP guy came from the parent right from the start...it seems like the senior execs are political appointees more than anything else.. I have no problem paying my fair share of taxes, but I don't want politicians that never signed a paycheck in their life trying to pick winners and losers in the marketplace. Excuse the rant but...

  3. Went back up this time with 9 guys at two outpost camps. Couldn't count the number of walleye this time but we'll well over 500. Great fish fry and fun was had by all. Biggest was 5lbs but lots of 2 and three pounders

  4. I just don't understand how a government can mandate travellers to travel with an electronic device in order to enter Canada. Next thing will be implanted chips in the head.

  5. I would assume that air intake has a fitting that connects to some kind of "snorkel" either in the boat or higher up above the waterline. Yes, Bombardier is probably the most mis-managed corporation in Canadian history...they're fortunate to be headquartered in Quebec so the Liberals keep them afloat for the sake of political expediency. Hopefully the engineers there aren't complete dolts like the senior executives..

  7. The Arrivecan app is a pain in the ass for Canadians returning home and is a total invasion of privacy for Canadian citizens especially seniors like myself who do not own a cellphone. Information was supposed to be erased after 48 hours after-entry and now they are looking to make it a permanent prerequisite to enter Canada for citizens and non. They say it is a good way to track the virus. We have been hoodwinked again folks
