  1. It absolutely poured rain off and on allll day and again just now so hopefully, I'd be shocked if it didn't put a serious dent in the fires.

  2. I'm fishing for smallies from my kayak on one of the deeper Kawartha Lakes next Saturday. I've got three tactics I want to use but I don't want to limit myself. I know there's a lot better bass fisherman than me on here, so my question is If this was your list, what would you put in slot 4? 1. Topwater 2. Texas rigged craw 3. Drop shot 4.

  3. If you can leave the big motor at home and slap on a trolling motor, I'd go to Island Lake in orangeville. I love that body of water. Enough spots and species to keep anyone busy for a day. I'd also consider Goderich at the mouth of the Thames. (I think its the thames?)

  4. Try Bellwood lake motor boats welcome. But if you really want some hot action for large smallies try Lake Erie out of Cristle beach area . You do not need to go off shore far at all, just fish the shoal's and rock ledges.

  5. Do not forget the simple tube jigs as you can drag them along the bottom to imitate craws, bounce the bottom like gobies, or swim them like a bait fish. I would stick to darker colors like pumkin-seed, green, blk-brown. Use a 1/4 ounce sinker to allow a slower drop. For smallies fish the drop offs, rock piles and a little deeper water then you would for largies.

  6. Oh Bellwood is still alive but because it's a reservoir you have to be patient and versatile. Keep it simple and stick with the basics. Do you have any electronics? Maybe you need to hook up with me to get some pointers, always like to share some ideas .
