lpmaure Posted May 25 Report Posted May 25 Seeking info on enforcement & penalties for fishing violations, specifically want to know about accidentally catching bass out of season.
Terry Posted May 25 Report Posted May 25 There is no penalties for accidentally catching a bass out of season as long as you release it immediately but if you keep catching them without catching more of the fish you were there to catch that are in season , you can get a hefty fine and lose you license to fish for a few years , if they really want you could lose your boat , trailer and the vehicle that towed it 3
Beans Posted May 26 Report Posted May 26 Best to move and try somewhere else after releasing a bass...Choose your lure wisely...surface lures and tubes and wacky worm hooked plastic worms are considered bass lures...
lpmaure Posted May 26 Author Report Posted May 26 Thanks for those helpful replies. I'm fishing the Kawarthas for muskies & walleyes when the bass are not in season, and I want to avoid giving fish wardens the wrong impression.
