Canoe fishing Around Haliburton

I am heading to the Haliburton Area the week of August 21st with my wife and staying on Kashagawigamog Lake.  I am looking for some suggestions for some good canoeing (Day trips) with easy portages.   I am also interested in finding some fish.  Please message me is you have some advise.  I normally fish for Walleye, Bass and Pike but I am happy to try for anything else.
