captpierre Posted January 11, 2016 Report Posted January 11, 2016 Looking at the stock for my RSP. Theoretically they should do well selling Skidoos, Seadoos, CanAm ATVs and Evinrude outboards into the US with the low Canadian dollar. Stock is way down. Anybody know anything good or bad about them?
captpierre Posted January 11, 2016 Author Report Posted January 11, 2016 Noticed online that they have a significant manufacturing presence in North Carolina, Wisconsin and Mexico. Also a bit in Europe.
Canuck2fan Posted January 11, 2016 Report Posted January 11, 2016 All I know is they CONSTANTLY get bailed out by the taxpayers.... If they were so great why is all the corporate WELFARE so necessary every few years?
Fisherman Posted January 11, 2016 Report Posted January 11, 2016 That's my take on it too, why do we constantly have to bail them out, if it's not a viable company, let them sink, someone else will make it work.
captpierre Posted January 11, 2016 Author Report Posted January 11, 2016 I think you are referring to Bombardier Inc. they make planes and trains. BRP was once part of them but was split out. BRP= Bombardier Recreational Products They make some cool stuff although I own none of them.

Also did they not spin off BRP so that Bombardier Inc could look worse on paper to get government WELFARE? Who are the directors and shareholders? They probably still share a ton of them with each other, as well LOL.
