Charleston Lake PP or MurphysPoint PP?

Can anyone share some info on the parks,the lake,the fishing,I have 4 days next week and was thinking heading that way for a little camping and fishing. thanks

IMO opinion Charleston is a nicer campground with plenty of good fishing at both destinations. Charleston has lots of water with several areas you can have to yourself, if that's appealing.

i've never been to murphys point but we make a point of getting to charleston lake as often as we can.

I'm a huge fan of Charleston Lake. Kinda makes you feel like you are further north, with the lack of weeds, deep water, tons of rock and structure everywhere. Though there is one nice big weed bed off of big water. It is actually an area where the shield juts south. Plus you can always get out of the wind on Charleston. And Lakers are still open so your timing is good. Good luck.
