Icing up great in the O Valley

Wow, looks like the back lakes will be ready for this weekend. But, playing it safe I'll wait to do my scouting for next weekend. Awesome......so early, can't wait. Brookies and Bows...here I come!

Yes another early one for sure. I'll be out Monday for some gators, but I imagine the smaller lakes around here are already good to go. It's been a good week for ice-making with lots of cold temps and almost zero snow!

A buddy of mine in your neck of he woods has been out Crappie fishing on the ice already Matt. Not saying he is "all there", just saying....

I saw a guy and his dog walking across Dow's lake, black ice with no snow on it. I thought he was crazy! I'll wait a bit longer. Planning to go next weekend up to a back woods trout lake for a scouting mission. Can't wait
