spinnerbaitking Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 All the school's have been set up & eggs have been delivered, I was emailed tonight saying 1 of the school's have started to hatch, we have expanded to 21 school's & we are still looking for Members that would like to help out with 1 or more of the school's, they are spread out from Southampton to Goderich & Waterloo to Guelph, I was asked by a few Teachers if they could have a presentation put on this year as not everybody had one last year, so I'll be starting with my presentations early to try to get out to as many as possible.Thanx & Tight Lines Richard http://lhfcschoolhatcheries.blogspot.ca/2014/11/lhfc-school-salmon-hatchery-program-has.html
misfish Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) I always like watching these Richard. Would really be cool if that happened around here for the Notty. Edited November 15, 2014 by Brian B
spinnerbaitking Posted November 16, 2014 Author Report Posted November 16, 2014 I'm hoping to make a partnership with sister clubs that are interested in helping expand this to their area, the biggest things are getting the MNR on board & getting salmon eggs from other clubs in that area so the fry can be released in other rivers as we are limited to a few in Lake Huron. Thanx & Tight Lines SBK
misfish Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) I think this can be done here. The Pine river for one, can produce 10,000,s of eggs. The problem is,there is no hatchery here. Im wondering if the Nottawasaga Steelheaders club would be willing to help out? I would love to be part of it. Edited November 18, 2014 by Brian B
