Morton smoke flavored sugar cure with hickory chips. Lakers are great tasting, I'm not wild about eating them any other way. The Browns are also good, taste like brookies to me The lakers were from Big Rideau lake

I soaked them for 16hrs in a wet soak 1Gal water 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup Morton sugar cure Then rinsed them off, air dried 2hrs and them smoked at 170 deg for 6 hrs
