woodenboater Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 saw this on a Twitter feed from the Weather Network. Stay safe out there this long weekend. "Severe tstorm warnings around #Dryden #Ignace. Large hail, damaging winds, heavy rain and an isolated tornado possible."
Old Man Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) It's just a "watch", not a "warning" ,at present. Trust me, I've seen much more threatening skies then what I'm looking at right now. Edited May 19, 2012 by Old Man
Old Man Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 From the radar and satellite . It look's like Ignace may catch the northern edge of it, while Atikokan may get most of the severe weather.
woodenboater Posted May 19, 2012 Author Report Posted May 19, 2012 Hope lightning doesn't sparking anything up that way. Been years since I've been to Dryden.
Old Man Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) Hope lightning doesn't sparking anything up that way. Been years since I've been to Dryden. Me too. We are a lttle drier then normal, but not a tinderbox yet. Hoping for a good steady shower for the garden's sake. Environment Canada had forecast 25mm by now, my guage is only showing 3mm. Hope more is on the way. Edited May 19, 2012 by Old Man
Old Man Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 Environment Canada just ended the "Watch" for Dryden. It's still in effect for Ignace.
