Channel cats

Booked a trip with a friend for some channel catfish in a couple weeks, i have never tried for these behemoths; any body have any advice regarding lines and rod setups that i should try? also if anyone has any tips on how to catch these bad boys would be greatly appreciated! we'll be on the ottawa river around arnprior in case someone has fished these guys before. any tips would help.

I usually just use a circle hook and a big slip sinker, throw some cut bait on and relax.

I've had d guys tell me shrimp works real well Nd rotting chicken Stinker the better. I too will be heading out for some cats in the near future

right on Guys, glad to hear that i don't have to do much to land these bad boys, hopefully i can land a few nices ones! i'll post some pics if we do catch any!! thanks for the advice guys!!
