crappies

Can crappies tell the difference between micro tubes and real live minnows? Last year I caught lots of crappies on micro tubes but never really tried live minnows. I think maybe in the early spring they are a bit more finicy and would prefer something real?

Stick with the fakes...they will hit damn near anything in the spring...ice out they are in the shallows feeding...later they come back in to spawn...
