Eric S Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Dad and i flew out of sioux lookout to root bay on lake st jo of sept 27,got picked up oct 5.Water was way low and fishing was tough at times till we found a pattern that worked.Best depth was 20-30 ft with a 3/8 jig and a 4in berkley ripple shad, fish were smaller on average than years past but still had a great time.Saw 4 moose total this trip. Here are some pics http://s26.photobucket.com/albums/c112/144550/Canada%202011/ mostly just different parts of the lake but there is some fish porn and cabin shots....enjoy...Eric
mercman Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Beautiful countryside Looks great, and some nice clean loking fish too ! Never too late Eric Thanks for the report.
bigbuck Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Lake St Jo is on my bucket list, it is supposed to be a walleye and monster pike factory with limited fishing pressure. Good to hear you enjoyed it.
Pikeslayer8 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Great pictures. :clapping: Moose pic is very cool. Very disconcerting to see the lake leval so low.
