fishinguypat Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 I was thinking about hitting some Huron tribs tomorrow, and I heard access on the maitland was limited because of the tornado? Can anyone give me any info on the conditions? . pm me
SirCranksalot Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Well, the Notty is grotty! Up about 2 ft and silty. It looks like it has peaked but hasn't begun to fall yet.The steelhead tourney scheduled for this w/e has apparently been cancelled, or possibly postponed.
hurraylien Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 my guess is the maitland still be high and dirty and access is limited now.would think much the same for any other tribs over that way.But don't let that stop ya if its the only time you can get out,you may get lucky.Just gotta use different strategies big roe bags visible colours and fish closer to banks.Fish could be right at your feet
fishinguypat Posted October 23, 2011 Author Report Posted October 23, 2011 In that case do you think i should try a ontario trib instead like bronte?
The JAY Posted October 23, 2011 Report Posted October 23, 2011 I was out at Maitland at the beginning of the week, and you could get to it from the North side of the old rail bridge, but the water was up and silty. I didn't fish, but took a good long look down from the bridge and couldn't spot a single fish anywhere. But, that's no reason not to get out and try...
