Crane Lake Parry Sound

Recommended Posts

I am renting a cottage on Crane Lake near Parry Sound at the end of the month for 5 days with my GF and my Brother. Its owned by a friend of my GF. The cottage comes with a 14ft Tinner with an older Outboard. The cottage is near Crane Lake Resort.

Seen a few pictures and the bay the cottage is in looks promising for SM bass. Talking to the owner, there is also good fishing off the dock for Smallies (good for the kids).

Has anyone fished that end of the lake and what can be caught in the area? Keeping in mind I don't think we would be able to venture to far from the cottage due to the boat.

As well are there any slot limits that we need to keep in mind.

Thanks

James

i didnt have much luck at Crane Lake. You can cover the entire lake in a tinny. There are SM in there that are catchable, as well as some elusive eyes.

I've fished there a couple of times, but only because our cottage is around the corner and wanted some variety. Its got bass, pickerel, pike and musky. We did ok (not great)for pike, and caught a decent pickerel by accident. Kind of a so so lake, one of the few with musky out there but they are pretty hard to come by

Hi there! Looks like a great year for walleye fishing and Erie is one of the best places to go for them . Been lately on a few occasions my buddies and we limit by noon every single time . It didn't matter if it was wavy or still, trolling was the ticket. We had several double header, even a few triple headers... Cheers! Gino

I'm currently on week 2 of my extended summer vacation and have been hard on getting some cabin building done. First thing needed was a dry, shady and bug free zone to chillax in when the working was done.   Threw up this temporary shack in a weekend.   Now onto the cabin building segment. Took a lot longer than expected to layout the foundation. Drilled 1/4" holes in the granite to drop my nails into to run my string lines.   Then it was time to dri

    • Kingston area eastern Lake Ontario salmon/trout fishing

I used to run 27' boat out of Whitby trolling for Lake Ontario salmon and rainbow trout each summer, and I have been missing it. I moved just north of Kingston a dozen years ago and have concentrated on back lakes bass since then. When I was in Whitby, I could tell you exactly what week the salmon would appear, in what locations and at what depth the best fishing would be. Seldom got skunked if the fish were around. I am thinking of upgrading my 14' tin boat to something that could han
