I ask because my father left me guns ? at the wrong time So what do I DO??? I know about all of the stipulations regarding mental illness. (they dont apply) So what do I do?? In asking this I know that my ex would not grant me the rite to posess thees guns that have been in my family since I was a boy learning how to shoot...??? (spite) Don. What do I do??????? smally21 Posted June 26, 2011 Report Share Posted June 26, 2011 there is a section on the application that requires you state the personal info for your spouse/ex if recent. your current spouse signs the application, but i dont know about your ex. i dont beleive they can just veto your application without just cause and some effort on their part. but you can review the appication online and see what it says. you can also do all kinds of research on the website of the chief firearms officer. or just call and ask.
