grt1 Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 I discovered cracks in the sidewalls of my trailer tires when I was getting my boat out this year and I replaced the tires yesterday at Fountain Tire. the size was A78-13 and they told me that size isn't made anymore but they had a conversion chart to give me the correct size. That got me thinking as to the age of the tire, I guess they don't owe me anything since I realized they were over 25 years old. The cost for my tires with tax was $203. kinda cheap peace of mind when hauling my boat down the road.
bigbuck Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 You definitely need new rubber. That is without question, you are asking for a blowout if you keep driving with those on. The wear patterns are wierd and need to be looked into. Better to be safe than sorry.
