Bernie Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 Not sure how many people know about this site but I love it. It can show you storms coming your way very accurately. This is the one in Britt but there are others around the province. http://weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html?id=wbi
GbayGiant Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 Hey thanks Nip, I live very close to that and didn't even know about it, it might help. Is that up to the minute that were looking at ?
Bernie Posted March 22, 2007 Author Report Posted March 22, 2007 It shows the time of the last update on the screen. I think its updated every 10 minutes.
irishfield Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 All this time you thought that was Paul Bunyon's golf ball out there on the side of 69 eh John !! LOL
Bernie Posted March 22, 2007 Author Report Posted March 22, 2007 If you watch it from time to time you can calculate how soon the storm will arrive and how strong it may be. Last year I seen an intense front coming in and we managed to get some equipment put away in time to prevent damage. That particular storm took down quite a few trees and did some other damage in our area.
GbayGiant Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Exactly Nip, but I'll be watching for the storm coming in and that's when I'll be racing to get out onto the water. Had the best days just before a storm, it's magic how the fish go crazy, but not recommended for those concerned about their safety.
