newboykool Posted July 27, 2010 Report Share Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) it was raining the day before, so the water was really muddy and the fishing was SLOW =S only caught 3 bass from 7am to 3 pm any1 have any ideas of what kind of lure i should use for muddy water? or what spot i should be fishing on a lake when the water is muddy? Fisherpete Posted July 27, 2010 Report Share Posted July 27, 2010 When the water is dirty or muddy, you want lures that make lots of noise and vibration... like the rattling crankbait you caught that one on, or spinnerbaits. Chartreuse or jet black are my favorite colors for stained water. Scented baits and top waters work well also. Oh nice bass. These days when I see muddy water, I go fishing in the Tim Horton's drive through, then go home, or hit a lake where the water quality is not affected by rain.
