Port Glasgow

Anybody fish out of Port Glasgow? I should be getting the boat soon and Port Glasgow is only 15-20 mins away.

its been more then a few years since ive launched my boat out of there but i have fished on friends boats in the past two years in Glascow ....prepare for rainbows!!!! have fun and use caution in the area...."lake erie boil" is a reality ...30-35 dn over 60 - 75 fow

I've seen several commercial fishing boats just to the east. Anybody do any perch fishing in the area?

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure if I'll have down riggers on the boat this year, but hopefully next year.

 

Does the "Lake Erie boil" refer to how fast bad weather arrives?

A buddy and myself went out last june around the 15th.Went to the left out of the channel fished in about 18-20 fow and caught about 80 perch all between 10-12 inches with about 15 or so 13 inchers.Bought the minnows right from the trailer at the launch.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping. I know they catch some Perch of the break wall in the marina.

 

Got a message today that my boat is done! Yay! Now I just need time to get up there and get it!
