vinnimon Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 After a long while I finally bagged a female brown trout, hoping for a bow though.5lbs and clean.Very sluggish on the fight and when I landed it guess what her belly was empty,.I seen 3 others caught at the same time they were full of eggs. This fish was stripped(molested). She would survive.I filleted it and guess was I found, fresh blood traces on the fillet.I think its about a #8 hook(snagged accidently for sure in this area)Why didnt they just take the fish?

irishfield Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Well if you think it was snagged... then legally they couldn't keep it.. no matter what the release outcome.
vinnimon Posted November 22, 2009 Author Report Posted November 22, 2009 Well if you think it was snagged... then legally they couldn't keep it.. no matter what the release outcome. I know it was snagged, fresh blood on one fillet and a scar to match, they should think about mother nature taking its coarse.Let her go take a handfull and send her on its way.
vinnimon Posted November 22, 2009 Author Report Posted November 22, 2009 They didnt keep it because i caught it.
