snag Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Like I've said before, I have run out of congratulatory verbiage to apply. that was "mondo boffo"
tonyb Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Glad to see all of the pictures come together from your roadtrip Mike! It was a treat fishing with you and Drew and I hope to do it again in the future. I ended up hooking into 9 fish at that spot you told me about...but only after I stopped fishing the main drift and headed to the woods...I clambered through a pile of wood and shrubs to the other side of where that cliff ends standing in a CRAZY spot with trees above, in front, and behind me...tight flop casts were all that I could manage and I lost a lot of fish in the sticks! I did manage a couple to the bank, this one fought like a champ and thanks to the jumps I muscled her away from the timber. Here's a couple more shots from the day that were neat... Take care, Tony

Take care, Tony Tony you know how to read water bud. I fished the entire length of that run all the way to the tailout waay downstream and hit fish all through there. You can actually stand in the water along that bank although there's more of that ankle sucking chocolate pudding mud. You know the wood you clambered over? I found a beautiful net that came unbuttoned from someones magnet in the middle of the brushpile. Edited November 19, 2009 by solopaddler

Nice find on the net You should have seen the looks I was getting when I kept hooking up from the guys fishing just upstream of that spot It was dead for them all along that stretch, guys on both sides. I was impressed by their patience...they stayed for hours with no hookups.
