[email protected] Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 I;ve been a resident of barrie for a couple years now, and dont know anywhere to catch trout of anykind, can somebody please tell me a good place to catch trout, i know nobody likes to give out their spots, but im going through withdraws, need help!!!
BillM Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 I wouldn't be stream fishing for trout until you've verified the stream temps. If it gets to warm, you'll just end up killing them even if they are released.
[email protected] Posted June 22, 2009 Author Report Posted June 22, 2009 (edited) i know, i was hoping for lake names, with good shore fishing areas. I should have been more specific Edited June 22, 2009 by ***rick***
BillM Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Not many lakes around Barrie that hold trout, you should be looking out towards Haliburton if that's your plan.

wallacio Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Why is that? What temps are OK? Bill is referring to water temperatures - as a general rule of thumb, it's best to stop fishing for stream/river Trout once the water temperature reaches 70F.
