Ever heard of a 18HP Mercury ???

Hey everyone

 

I came across an add on Kijiji for a 15' aluminum with a 18HP Merc. on the back !

 

Ive never heard of a 18 HP merc. before... just wondering what they are like ???

 

Seems like odd numbers to me... 15 foot boat.... 18HP motor ? hahah

hahahah my dad used to have a 15ft alum and an 18hp merc! the motor ran well it was a fairly tall and narrow motor, i was only 5 or 6 at the time

Yep...I have one...year is 1983.

 

Here some pics of mine...runs great too! With 2 in the boat, it pushes my 14 ft aluminum at 32 km/h.

one of the Marinas here rented those 18 hp Mercs for yrs they where tough buggers

So would boat motor and trailer be worth say $1000 ? No idea what the condition is, but say " good " , would it be worth $1000 ?

I've got an 18 hourse Evinrude sittin out back. My grandfather bought it back in the 1960's. Ran till we replaced it with a much newer 25 hourse merc
