Joeytier Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 I'd like to continue to fish Simcoe for perch after tomorrow, but I'm not sure how long I'd want to keep fishing the main lake due to moving ice/cracks etc, and generally unsafe ice. Is there a noticable difference in ice quality and safety in cooks bay as opposed to the main lake? Of course I would be walking. Thanks.
Fisherman Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 There's still a good 12-16 inches of ice, watch out for old hut holes.
Joeytier Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 ...But does it stay good for longer than the main lake? Thanks.
skeeter Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 yes it does i was out there today and it was real good but the shore line is crap in gilford
