Uncle Buck Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 to drill the easyout, use a carbide drill (masonary one will work fine...) as for pulling the old bolt out... you're in a bit of a pickle there.... you'll probably have to drill a hole through the bolt and die grind it out... then rethread the hole with a tap
Out4Trout Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Here's an old trick that works really well... Take the door off, then place a 1/4 nut over the bolt and easy out. Tack weld the inside of the nut to the easy-out and bolt. Before it has completely cooled, use a wrench on the nut - and turn the bolt out of the hole. Hope this helps - it's worked wonders for me...
