Bushrat24
Hey guys Im just wondering if anyone knows the bowmanville area. I was curious what I would catch just casting off the pier????? and what would be best for bait. I was told to fish near the mouth just out from the ice. Spiel
....All the river mouths will have rainbows and drop back browns cruising about at times. Roe is usually the prefered bait but minnows will also get their share of fish. On those milder days (near or above zero) you could opt for spoon chucking. ccmtcanada
Be careful out there on piers in the winter. Most will have about 2 feet of ice and snow on top of them! Get some cleats for your shoes. Good luck out there! Edited January 2, 2009 by ccmt
danbo
Try chucking a 1/3 oz. Little Cleo spoon. Silver/chartruese & use a Sampo Swivel. Cast it out & count it down til it hits bottom. Then reel it back medium slow. Fish are near bottom.
