Ok it looks like there is enough interest in this. Let's nail down some logistics. In addition to the date where should we go? We will need parking and reasonable access to good fishing grounds...suggestions?

I would be looking at Big bay area lots of early ice and plenty fish within walking distance of shore. My brother lives on Big Island (north shore road) and can keep me informed of conditions. Parking can be had on the ice most of the time.

I checked other date cause we have a new baby comming mid to late January. And it has heart problems. They seem to think everything else is normal so they're hoping to wait till June or July for surgery. So Later would be better for me. If I can make it at all. We'll see.
