kingjames_2nd Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 hey guys, I am headed to earl rowe PP. near Alliston Ontario today. I grew up near by but never fished there. can any one tell me what species there are to target and how to target them? Are you willing to share any special hot spots? Thanks, James
danbo Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 (edited) Rainbow Trout..look for surface activity at dawn/dusk for dry flies. Try woolly worm or buggers on a sinking line too. Near the dam is fairly deep, just work your way to the points. Spinners on light line too, if no fly gear. Edited August 23, 2008 by danbo
BabyHerc Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 I've caught a few hefty rock bass in the stream below the dam.
Wild Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Are they stocking the pond well? Haven't been there in ages myself and never caught a bow but it was fun just the same.

mattyk Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 there are carp above the dam. There are salmon below the dam, but check the regulations, sanctuary kicks in soon i think.
