Ambessedaur 7000 (made in sweden)

I got an Ambessedaur 7000 from my grandfather and he used it for trolling Salomon in Lake O, I was wondering if I could use this for pier fishing for Salmon this year??? If this is possible I need a rod to match any suggestions??? thanks all.....

i'm no pier fishing expert but the 7000 should be just fine. i know they will cast a mile and you won't have issues with line capacity . i'd suggest a long 8-6"+ rod but again i'm no pier pro.
