jeff24 Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Just looking for some advice or info. I Will likely be going to see my parents this weekend, they are docking at Toronto Island for Sat night, and was wondering if it is worth taking gear as I will be visiting them Sat. and Sun. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jeff
mepps Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Take your stuff for sure! There should be some pike, bass and carp around for sure. There are big bass that hang out under teh docks. Heres some info from my trips to Toronto Islands - http://www.fishingfury.com/categories/plac...oronto-islands/
Anatz Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Mepps I think I've seen you at Toronto Island before...I'm sure it was you
mepps Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 I only went once last year, but in 2005 and 2004 I was there constantly - you look familiar!
linweir Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 This time it's very heard to catch pike and trout. I went to my company's summer event on island yestersay. After picnic, I hit and fished in my spots for a few hours. Water is very dirty. Caught a big ugly bowfin. Saw a couple of good size bass and carp around, alot f sunfish plus catfish. Didn't bring live bait. It works much better.
Billy - Curtiss Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 (edited) I actually caught my personal best pike out there yesterday and saw many others cruising around. So they're definitely around. Happy hour for pike, for whatever reason, tends to be around 11:00 AM. Report soon to follow... Edited July 11, 2008 by Billy - Curtiss
