mover Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 need update on fishing activity in upper french river at mouth of lake nipissing especially walleye action . heading up there at end of august . heard this area can be prime for walleye, pike bass etc. anyone fish this area lately or been up there recently. thanks
lunkerbasshunter Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 a report now will most likely cahnge come august when you go up. it may be better to call a local bait shop a week before you go up. When i go to new fishing areas i always drop 20-30 bucks at a local bait store and they always give me tips on whats biting and whats working. Cheers!
Daplumma Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 The pattern will be different to be sure.Do a search there is a ton of info on that area here, from all different times of year. Joe
Marty Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 The reefs just out on the lake always produce. Just look for the boats congregated out there. About a mile or so from Fishermans Island. Other than that, you'll have to find them. They move constantly.
Muskieman Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 :whistling: Wait 'til the week before you come up here ... and then ask your question.. But to answer your question... yes they are biting now... Walleye tend to move ...I will be able to give you a concrete answer in a month or so, Where are you gonna stay?...fishing from which Lodge?
