bigfish1965 Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 There seems to be a new wave of spam bots coming across the internet. Lots of fishing sites are getting pummelled by them. I saw four fishing sites today alone that had been slammed by spam/porn bots. We have a very small modification to our registration process that has kept them at bay so far, but if they do get past it, please report the bots immediately. Don't click on any links they put up if they get in cause I can pretty much guarantee you it will dump some nasty cookies on your computer.
Dondorfish Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Hey Rick - whats the best way to handle it if you get any? - My puter has been running funky the last few days. Don
bigfish1965 Posted January 7, 2007 Author Report Posted January 7, 2007 I'll make a post in the Help area about safe internet usage. Maybe Corey and Gerritt will give input also.
