fishing n autograph Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Hey guys, Never had one before so I just bought one....anyway, got some minnows for perchin' tomorrow... my question is, will i burn out the motor if i leave it on all night?
Dondorfish Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Nope - same thing as an aquarium pump. We use one ice fishing and have it on all weekend - never been a problem yet! Hope this helps Don
Billy Bob Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 (edited) IF you can still find one (doubt it) the best aerator I ever had was one that floated on the top of the water and looked like a big red bobber. Not only did it aerate the water but also cooled it a bit. It ran on one 6 volt battery but you could hook it up to your battery charger overnight. Has anyone else owned one of these ? ? ? Edited to add: GOOD NEWS to anyone who uses minnows. I found the product that I referred to in the above post. Here it is. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=70611 Bob Edited May 21, 2008 by Billy Bob
MCTFisher9120 Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 I bought a airator also this past weekend. We had some minnows and i left mine on all nite. I doubt it will burn out, but depending on your battery life the batteries might die. My airator lasts 32hours on 2D batteries.
