bushart Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Ok this one has actually been in the works for a few years now and has seen a few changes most recently this weekend. It stems from the first time I ever went fishing was at the Grand River in Caledonia--actually the old dam was in place at that time--anyway we continued to fish there over the years and usually had fun. Now this painting is from memory and a touch towards the impressionistic so I'm sure things are outta place--I remember wading over to the centre island and catching walleyes and bass below the new dam--occasionally watching steelies trying to make it over the dam. I also remember looking at the train bridge and recalled how I used to sit at the bottom of the stone supports fishing and now they're under water. I actually put the fisherman sitting on that rock spit---I mention this cause it would need another close-up shot to see that--he's not a short wader. Bushart
