drwxr Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) hey guys, what knot do you usualy use when tieing a leader to your main line, on the rig used for bootom fishing, or perch rig for winter ? Edited January 8, 2008 by drwxr
fishinfool Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 The blood knot works quite well for me. I just gotta figure out how to do it in the dark. http://www.animatedknots.com/bloodknot/index.php

addict Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 for attaching a leader i use a surgeons knot simple and strong.
bassman Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Uni to Uni. http://www.netknots.com/html/fishing_knots.html
drwxr Posted January 8, 2008 Author Report Posted January 8, 2008 fishinfool, The Blood Knot is used to join two lines of similar size, e.g., when joining sections of leader or tippet. snowball, i edited the picture so you way wont work, i want my leader to be of smaller size
ecxstriper Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 I would use try either the uni to uni or my favorite knot the Alberto ( variation of the albright knot) easy to tie and very strong do a google search if you are interested in the Alberto knot .
drwxr Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Posted January 9, 2008 i like the swivel idea. will attach it to main line using palomar knot
