wuchikubo Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 Hey all, My friend was just at BPS and bought a drill bit attachement for a manual auger. It was about $25, but it only works on a couple of models of manual augers (strikemaster/polar). Has anyone heard of or seen an attachment for Finn-bore? Thanks
misfish Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 (edited) Oh my,didnt I say this about 2 weeks ago.LOL Myself and Terry were down there today. It,s the real thang. The trick is not to force the auger.Let the blades cut. As for BPS,that will be the last 11 bucks I will spend there for awhile.People, know your prices. They are so over priced. The Pho though was sssssoooooooooooooooooooo good. Thanks to Fang and Cory and Heather the mrs,s and Terry for a great day. Edited December 9, 2006 by misfish
wuchikubo Posted December 9, 2006 Author Report Posted December 9, 2006 Misfish, it's called the "real thang"? The one at BPS is not suggesting to use it except with 4" or 5" augers made by strikemaster or polar. I've got a finn-bore 7" but that is not recommended. Clampet, I've tried to google it, the closest thing is called "ice kicker 2" at doesn't even mention what it adapts to, however the hole guard looks like an accident waiting to happen. Anyone else?

Dude It will cut with the 7 inch.Like I said, you just have to let the blades cut. It,s not a gas jobber, so don't expect alot from it. Guess yer not up on the lingo....Thang
