Toronto_Angler Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 (edited) Hey all, Couple of questions here not related to each other but I didn't want to start 2 threads. 1. I'm an avid reader and was wondering if anyone had some book recommendation for books on freshwater fishing. Could be any species as long as it is informative. 2. When the bows and Browns start staging in late october, do you still fish for them at the piers with 3/4 oz cleos or do you downsize? Do you even fish at the piers with Cleos or use Roe or another bait/lure (Don't see how roe would be effective in a pier or large bay situation but I could be wrong). Thanks for the help guys. poobah Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 The books put out by Creative publishing, are excelent, and you can find them at most Walmarts, and Canadian Tire stores. I have most of them, and find them to be quite informative. http://www.creativepub.com/hunting-and-fis...asp?subtopic=12

I've had luck with roe bags/single upstream but not at any of the trib mouths. Haven't tried much with spoons either. Anybody else?
tonyb Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Roe works in dead still water, absolutely. Lures are more fun though Tony
Burtess Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Tony knows..... post that pic of that massive pier brown that you caught....
