  1. well, I'm glad Montreal has the habs...cause they sure don't support any other forms of Canadian hockey.
  2. the tsn guy was trying to egg me on to get the swede section going..... i told him to buy me two more beers and see what fun could arise.
  3. pike and walleye open in may (for most regions). prior to that, (jan/feb/march/april) you'll be dealing with trout. just be careful, trout season in MANY locations is not open until "trout opener". read those regs.
  4. I did my best to cheer my boys on, including five individual TV appearances (LOL to TSN, don't put me on camera if you want ratings). I guess sitting infront of the Swedish section had its advantages. No amount of cheering helped my boys though.
  5. I'll kill you!!!! I'm wearing my Finland World Jr's jersey I bought before my last Leafs game.... I was planning on not "naming" it on the back... But after Jesse, and he'll be on the team again next year, I'm going to get it done with his name.... He's playing better than McDavid, and isn't even draft eligible until 2016. Although he's already touted to be top three, if not, number one (which would be a first ever for a Finn).
  6. just picked up three tickets for the Finland Sweden game. Jesse Puljujarvi vs William Nylander Puljujarvi is likely the best 16 year old in the world.
  7. threw a decent sized party at our house. day started with the Canada Win, then the Leafs Win, the closed off with the Finland Win. After the hockey was done, played DJ until 11:55 when we changed over to the NY ball drop. Continued playing DJ until close to 3am until the house just about cleared out.... Enjoyed the final hour cleaning up the house.
  8. couple bad bounces our way, but we will bounce back. Lupul out - again?!
  9. This Canada US game is absolutely FANTASTIC. the only thing that disgusts me is the folks from Montreal on the hb hockey future boards I'm on that claim the quality of hockey in the WJC's is weak and not worth any money. empty seats in the lower bowl
  10. Yep. You are correct. When you put the hours on your motors like the Coast Guard does, it is important to have working motors...These guys are not a "few times a month" fisherman. Sorry for your anger.
  11. and who knows if this is going to remain true, but experts are saying diesel fuel will remain more expensive than standard for the next 6 to 9 months... anyone know if there is any truth to that?
  12. Leo's back baby!!!! Wearing my Jersey proudly this evening!!!!
  13. i work with a number of bmw drivers.... the ones I work with, I'm not sure they would even know where to look for coolant. a few of them, i'm not even sure if they know why a vehicle needs coolant.
  14. 1,000 to 1,500? aren't 50" plasma tv's going for like $600 bucks? (those must be older models of plasma's I must be seeing out there).
  15. 12l / 100K? that isn't a great average. I bought my 2010 Suburban in July 2014. I've towed. I've highway drove. and I've city drove. My mileage averaged through it all is 14.2L / 100K With the current cost of gas, wouldn't that make a diesel MORE expensive than standard?
  16. is his name Jeff, lol?
  17. In Hamilton, at Inland Waters, which is where the vast majority of the Lake Ontario/St Lawrence Canadian Coast Guard boats rest, they are 100% Yamaha driven. I know this because I lost my top Yamaha mechanic who worked at Halton Marine. He is now employed by Coast Guard Canada to maintain their fleet of Yamaha motors.
  18. I'm assuming if he worked for another brand, he would have bought that brand, lol.
  19. you mean the late night infomercial lied? but I saw it pulling another boat under water with its shear power :)
  20. did you buy your ETEC after seeing their super quality late night infomercial? I know that's the mark of quality. A good late night infomercial. Add a gimmick like a "self winterizing" feature that lemmings can flock to. Add a few more guides that'll use anything that someone will give them a free hat to use. And what do you got? An ETEC!!!! Are they a good motor? Certainly, especially after the FICHT disaster (I'm not sure what was worse, the FICHT disaster, or the disaster that is Tracker Boats). I know I use the slap chop my wife bought on a daily basis. Just look at those nutz.
  21. two handed casting (reaction baits, etc) is a pain in the butt with split grips. all my nrx's are split grips (obviously), but otherwise I only use full cork rods. if nrx's would release non split grip versions, I'd sell all my split grips and replace with full cork. and nothing is worse than that eva foam crap.
  22. in smaller motors, the yammy's are a lot smoother than the honda's. lighter too. honda's are fantastic motors...but on sizes < 60hp, they are not considered an industry leader...
  23. Do you know how many ICE FISHERMAN on this very board would quit and not fish, if their electronics didn't work? That is a big change over the last five to seven years. Folks USED to ice fish without electronics....and I'm not talking that long ago. NOW, it appears, no one will ice fish without electronics.
