  5. i just bought 2 of the tip ups.. and atfer using it each once, the telecoping flag pole, snapped, on both. that is so frustrating!!!!

  8. i'd say you should automatically jump back to the top to see the map when you have clicked on one of those lodges.
  9. im lazy and cheap with alot of wood laying around the house, im thinking of just getting a baord and putting two runners on the bottom then sticking a large rubbermaid i got laying around on top. looks cheap, works.
  10. well.. if you were to get either from ctc, i suggest you get them to pricematch with lebaron, i got them to pricematch the normark swede bore. ctc price is $69.99 and lebaron is 55.94 and ctc will match it and beat it by 10% the difference in ctc money, so in the end i got the auger for $58.18 tax included
  11. i'll be there this weekend, should be ready by then, supposely valens has 3.5 inch of ice right now, so not yet open.
  12. but i also found another one, where you would use your auger and drill a partial hole and you would put a peg in there as the anchor..im trying to find a pic so here it is! found it on cabelas, selling for $24.99 USD i think
  13. the one i have is roughly 5 ft tall, anyways, i'll be sitting on a bucket right? sitting in the centre, having the rods/hole face closer to the edge of the tent where there is less height... and in terms of the tent blowing away.. hm.. perhap stick a cooler in there to not fly away.. ? lol.. or i guess we/i could try strapping them down to the ice
  14. was wondering if i could just punch a few holes in the floor and use it as a ice hut? will that work? the floor space is 10 by 12, but my concern would be the head room. atleast it'll keep the wind out but im not too sure on keeping the heat in..anyone tried? tested? true???thanks!
  15. oh, great, thanks for the posts. and dan, i'll pm you my email. thanks a bunch. the only problem i have is transporting a home made hut. we have a caravan and a toyota matrix.. not sure if it can fit? the weight of it wont worry me too much as it will be on a sled and im sure i can carry 100 lb myself. otherwise, worse comes to worse, i'll buy one of them lightweight collapsible ones! any recommendations, looking for 2 persons one. =)
