Needed to get a bunch of stuff so I set up a meet in Acton at Steve's shop, picked up a bunch of spinnerbaits, a few spoons & 3 Musky Spinners for future use, great to visit for an hour or 2 and ask for a couple different colour & blade designs if possible. Liked the Orange/White combo. Thanx & Tight Lines Richard (SBK) http://south-bruce-guide-service.blogspot.ca/2016/08/august-10-i-made-trip-to-blackflylures.html

School Salmon Hatcheries are gearing up for releases

We had 20 schools this year with problems in 5, egg tray moved & had no water going through it, hydro outage can be a big one too. most of the schools were fairly successful but some are 3 weeks away from release. Also sent the equipment to Sarnia, Owen Sound, Wiarton & Gore Bay for another 7 schools. Tight Lines SBK -
That time of year again Al has his 2 Kincardine schools finished releasing their Salmon & the hatchery tour is finished, mine start Monday & continue for the next 3.5 weeks, they are getting to be a nice size & hopefully the weather cooperates with us, the Students have a much nicer time if it's not raining or snowing, So do I. lol. Brown Trout are growing nicely
spinnerbaitking replied to spinnerbaitking's topic in General Discussion
I know they are returning to the area they were released in, as I've seen a few different sizes from about 14" to high 20"s in the one area & as many as 12 or 15 a few years that I checked. -
Stopped by Kincardine & the Browns are looking good, checked out the Rainbows & they are getting bigger too & checked out a few schools that are raising our Chinook Salmon. Tight Lines SBK http://lhfcschoolhatcheries.blogspot.ca/2016/03/kincardine-brown-trout-school-salmon.html

There is a spot on Friday's crew for the Kincardine Hatchery, Al Wilkins would love to get some help & I'm looking for people that might be interested in helping with School Salmon Hatchery Program too, our area is growing every year. Volunteers can always contact the club through the web site & Rick will direct you in the right direction or get the right person to contact you. Thanx & Tight Lines SBK
