  8. I'm with you Mepps! I've owned some expensive Flyrods over the years & just feel queazy using 'em! (Gimme an old Daiwa Heartland flyrod & I'll whip any salmon or bass with it! Lol.) I gotta Blue-collar mindset..always look for decent quality/price instead of buying the absolute best/expensive gear. It aint the gun..its the gunner!

  13. My most fun rig is a Daiwa Advantage Super-Tuned baitcaster on a 6'6 Shakespeare Intrepid MH Rod + #10 Super Silver Thread mono for bass. My 7' Fenwick HMG Spin/fly rod with a Daiwa Laguna 2000 + #6 Magna Thin mono for river smallies & trout. For pickerel I like a 7' St. Croix Premier ML rod & a Daiwa Exceler 2500 loaded with #10 Silver Thread mono. For pike I use a TD-1 Hi baitcaster loaded with #40 Power Pro line on a 7' MH Quantum Catalyst rod.

  16. I find the Quantum "Hot Sauce" Oil to be an amazing product that brings the best out of my reels.
  17. Dang! I just spend my spare cash on an electric guitar..can't afford the show now!
  18. First of all..it depends on the rod you wanna use. It has to be heavy enough to counter-balance the rod tip-weight. Also, for salmon or big carp, you need a reel with a strong twist-free frame & great drag. Anyway DAIWA HARDBODYZ are the best reels. check this out search here too
  19. What a great deal this reel is! link to daiwa reel
  20. Too KOOL! I noticed those little tubes look stiff when jigged..makes me wanna use marabou jigs instead, for even more wiggle! Fish on..
  21. If we all quit going to these shows..they'll disappear! Then where will we go? The Knitting show? Lol! Wish I could afford another boat! Dang..
  22. SHAZAAAM! Those were some big donkey fish!
