Sorry Roy & Terry for not anwsering back right away , this old computer keeps shutting down when it feels like it , never now when its going to happen , some times one boot of the foot starts it back up other times it takes five , i'll be glad when the new note book gets here from Dell . Yes the fishing dose'nt look good out there today for some of us , If i knew how to fish for some thing other then perch i could do like Roy mention .

I keep watching Windfinder.com, looks like the only window we might have is tomorrow around noon , today would be big anchor day for sure FM , O 'well theres other things i can do , maybe head down to the city to Radioworld and pickup a new transducer , maybe head out to the shop and modify that Danforth , or maybe finish building the plastic Mininow trap til the lake says OK ITS TIME ..... lol .
-
Sure would like to head out right now for a day of fishing on LS. The wind weather forcast dose'nt look like it might let us .... dam .

You got it Roy , just have to make sure theres a perch in it for him ... lol .
-
Some thing a bet cheaper , take a look at the axle just behind the hub , if you see a square plate with four holes in it welded to the axle tube you can buy the brake assemblies that come with the backing plates that will bolt to the plates i mention .
-
Thats awsome , i wasn't sure there was such a thing but really glad to hear its in the works , mark me done for a set for when it dose happen .

A few years back a boring company with a job to bore holes into the bottom of Simcoe a couple of k's out for what ever reason , came here to hire some of my snow removel equipment to clean the snow off to make a road so they could get their drilling rigs out , the answer then was NO THANKS , then they offered to install pontoons on our equipment and the answer was still NO THANKS . There will be no ice fishing for me , starting the first of November til the end of March here our days and nights get reversed , sleep in the day and work the nights . I believe am off the hook on this one

I don't seem to have any trouble with it tho , i never asked what others are useing that are in the boat but its always unanamis after words that i out fished every one that day in the boat , you mention sensitivity , could it be that its the rod that dose that part and not the line ?
-
Are we just talking about whats the best thing "line and rod" for fishing perch Bob ? Because i fear i could'nt handle losing a fish due to a snaped line , i use trilene 10 pound test on all my rods , i know its sounds crazy but its been works for me so far and i like to belive i have it all covered because you never know whats going to get on down there . For hooking perch i use a 6"6" medium action rod , if i don't want tocome home after a long day of non stop perch action with sore sholders i taught myself to just pull off to the side lightly , and so far so good but what do i know .

Thanks every one , i' am going to give this Danforth one last chance before i give up on it , the boat i am fishing out of for now is my 20" cabin cruiser ,it works good . I bought if off lake Ontario where it had been its hole life and figured since it came with it , it must of worked ok , like i've modifide most of the stuff i own to get it to work the way i want , i'll set this thing in on the work bench and see what i can come up with . Lots of things get thrown out every day because not enough thought go's into making them and some times they just need a little bit more to make them right . If i get it to work i'll do the show and tell thing in hopes it helps others , and if it dose'nt , its in the garbage and i'll go try some thing else like you's mention . Thanks again

Any body have a fix for thease useless Danforth anchors that makes them work right . I am think about bringing this one that i have into my shop and doing something to it to make it work , its been nothing but a pain , came with the boat . Iknow i can go buy another one but i like how lite they are . The other day out there was no way i could get the thing to hold or any other time for that mater . Was thinking about welding some thing to it , to make the back of it stand up so it would dig in , just thought i'd check here first to see what others mat have done for a fix .
