  1. I had my 7 on the 1.5", didnt hold worth a damn. Ball was destroyed the first year, had to buy a new one. My 10 used to be on the 2.5", in rough water, it slowly moves down. I didnt trust it, so i replaced it with more of a fixed mount. Didnt want it moving to hit the windshield or dash. Maybe i was just unlucky with mine.
  2. The savvys aren't the greatest. The only one i own is the 735 for frogs. Other than that my rod collection are split between Dobyns and G loomis. Currently have a Savvy 735, Champ 734 735, Glass 704 705 765, Dx 744 745 795. Too many!
  3. VLC, whatever doesnt play on there, SM Player.
  4. I'm not a fan of ram mounts. In rough water mine would go down so i sold them. Unfortunately they work out best on some windshield models. If you do decide on it, make sure you get the 2.5" ball. I use a johnny ray 207 and a Cisco Mount for my HDS 10.
  5. If you don't mind used, good deals always pop up on BBC. Just picked up a hds10 gen 2 for 1300 shipped, year and a half left on warranty.
  6. Which boat from Lund? Id go for the Alumacraft op. That was one of my few choices a few years ago when i was purchasing. Solid boats.
  7. Yep. Ruins the game.
  8. Bad hit, terrible reffing in general
  9. Thats the way i like it. Land the fish in the vinyl area, decks both carpeted. After a full day in the sun, the vinyl is ridiculously hot
  10. I bought a new lund 2 years ago. I got vinyl in the cockpit, carpet up on the front and back decks. The vinyl definitely gets hot. Sucks when your barefoot.
  11. Hands down best. Only braids i use. Although i dont use it for many applications. I had suffix for a bit, didnt have any problems, the colour bled pretty quickly. Only reason its not on my reel is because my friend thought he could use a baitcaster and completely ruined the line after his first cast.
  12. Dont have one but have used a friends, nice reel. Nothing bad to say about it. He used it primarily casting 3/8-3/4oz and it worked perfectly.
  13. They have a game tomorrow. Why waste energy.
  14. When i used to use braid i only put around 60 yards and with mono backing. No need to use the entire spool, gets expensive when filling a lot of reels
  15. I was yelling grabo the whole time
  16. what the hell were they thinking. Really Dion on the shootout.
  17. Wiziwig
  18. They did alright. Need to get Dion off the pp. Awful
  19. If you ever make it by Dixie/qew, i can give you a bps extreme 6'6 mh. Was my first rod but hasn't been used in years.
  20. Thanks for the responses. Tough decision. A friend who is tagging along has a make a stop in virginia. So we may situate ourselves closer to that area.
  21. The daiwa lexa is a good reel for the price. If your starting out, i would recommend the shimano citica or curado. Easy to cast with. The extreme is also a decent reel, my brother started with it.
  22. Thanks for the insight. Just realized that looking up a few of the closer States. What ever well be fishing for will always be catch and release.
