  1. That's great advise!!,With Lake O it's the winds from the southerly direction that do the most harm.
  2. Me? ,really,:rofl2:not so easy bud. lol.
  3. I'll third that as well lol. but while I'm enjoying myself, could I be missing more?.
  4. Could be all of the above or not. Not being difficult but you have to do some leg work and keep your ears open to what people are saying in different areas. I have found if you go to a known area a lot of people talk, than make up your own mind. That's what I do all the time and you can learn so much. Watch out for the bull:asshat:,lol. A lot of that can be heard as well. But with all this rain this past week,I'd give it a try somewhere.!!
  5. I agree you have to at least get it to the dealer by end of season if not for anything else,Warranty!!!!!!!! Keep all receipts for any work you do and when.
  6. If not now very soon, there is a thread I posted recently about every ones favorite lure. Can't be to far down the page but you should find it. Maybe last page even.
  7. My youngest son wants to give it a go somewhere this weekend before he moves to the big smoke. You experienced guys have any idea if time of day plays a better time than any other? Personally most of my fish have been caught before noon, but many days caught nothing at all. What are your views on this?. Thanks.
  8. How about Little more about yourself and such, and the replies will come fast I'm sure.:good:I don't know that area at all.
  9. I like what your saying, exactly right!!!!!!.Leave things alone, there the way they are for a reason.
  10. They don't take them out in your breed I guess?,I'm sure he'll be alright. They left one in my Doberman I didn't notice right away, but so far so good. Do you remember what they are used for and why they are there?.
  11. Very nice Mike, do you get a run tomorrow? That will help buy more lures:lol:. Good luck with the new job!!
  12. Whenever I bought a bearing kit the inner seal came with it,but any trailer shop would have what you need I would think. Make sure there is a dust cap on the wheel as well and pack it. Since I have been introduced to bearing buddy's what a difference, add a couple pumps every other time or three you go out, real nice.
  13. Sorry I didn't sat that, but that's how you do it,as per Brian. Kinda took that for granted, good call!!Make sure it's the water repellant grease, can't remember right now but that is critical.
  14. Make sure when you put the new bearing in "complete two pieces",you tighten the washer and lock nut tight so the wheel doesn't spin. Back the nut off slightly till the hub starts to spin. I've had bearings go on to easy IMO,but lasted for years this way.
  15. Exactly my point,my new caenan (love it) but the body feel is a little to plastic and moves at the front when retrieving. Probably nothing wrong but my old spider ,solid as a rock.
  16. I'm sure as well there is a tad of Doby in there .
  17. Were they fresh roe bags?,not preserved in a jar.
  18. Good going Mike, great pictures and love the bait cast collection!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Good for you Andrew!quite a achievement for a young man of your age. Good luck with the fish and wildlife career:good:
  20. Thanks Geoff, I really don't need it now,was just wondering if they still make it or sell it. I'm not opposed to trying something if recommended by other members is readily available and is better. I'll be out at Web Offset this week. Not far from you. If you do see it next time your there by all means let me know.Thanks.
  21. Never used crystal but the last 3 years or so I've used power pro 8/30. I wish I could find the 8/30 Gorilla green braid as it's about 5 years old and never tangles and always smooth. IMO works far better than PP.
  22. I agree, usually I will cast up to 3 times in the same spot, and if there there they will strike mostly out of anger I believe. Although having said that I get a lot of follow ups as well. Curiosity? hmmmm.
  23. Very nice!!!!!
  24. The rattle traps are very similar to the cotton cordell super spots I have ,and have produced very well over the years.
  25. I use a 245 Fish Easy Eagle portable as a second fish finder and it uses 8 double E batteries. The batteries will last a few days use,and I find you can usually find a heck of a deal on a big pack of batteries and that'll do you easily all year. I also fabricated a stainless solid bar with a c-clamp welded to it and attached the transducer at the bottom, which is easily adjustable. Very easy to change from the boat to the canoe.
