  9. Hey guys I was down at the river all day fishing I got two nice ones, one steel-head 15 and a salmon around 16 using lures everyone else seemed to be using roe though. My question is once I have the roe on the hook what types of weights should I use and how far up the line should it be? basically what is the best rig, am I right in thinking the roe should just be a bit off the bottom? Thanks New to this salmon stuff. o and is that roe you can buy in Canadian tire any good?
  10. I don't use minnows. Simple dew worms is all you need for walleye or bass.
  11. Went home this weekend to my Dads and got out all day Saturday and most of Sunday. Also got out friday even on Gull hardly any luck though, had a decent largie hit my frog but didn't get a hook set. Saturday we tried new spots on lake Muskoka, we where looking for bass but mostly caught walleye and big ones two, smallest one was 21" Largest was just over 27" I also got my largest Pike ever, nothing to barged about but it made me happy. Bass where not biting very good Saturday Sunday was windy and it was pretty rough but I anchored, it took a few try's and I stayed in one spot almost all day Sunday and caught maybe 30 or 40 bass nothing big though and I lost to many to count as they became rocket ships lol. I ended up keeping 6 small bass and the smallest walleye everything else I let go. After this weekend I have so far caught 721 fish it been my best year ever.
  12. Hey guys I am just wondering if I am using braid and bass fishing should I be giving the fish limp line when they jump or should I keep it tight. I was always told to keep a tight line but this year I switched to braid and I have had trouble landing larger bass they jump and spit the hook.
  13. I use 20 pound on all my spinning reels and I have had know problems with the stuff, I also use Powerpro and its goof but it does not cast as good. When people have problems with line I find its 99% user error.
