This time we managed fish! Basically I blew out my knee 7 months ago and im still on crutches. The urge was high so thankfully my mom decided to help by bringing a chair and carrying .y tackle down.

 

A storm front was approaching so I knew we would get the first fish of the year!

 

All in all we fished 2 hours, landed two small pike, 2 bass, 4 dink walleye and I lost a sturgeon, hahaha as if I could land it sitting in a chair!

 

My mom had never seen one though, so she was blown away by the power and spooling. Just as we seen it she spit, thank God

 

My lil girl also joined and had a blast!

 

All in all a great day!

Oh also I don't care where it comes from, but I've caught soooo many 12lb walleye and I need to catch a bigger one. I feel like im perpetually stuck on 12lbs

Even had one pilot with no other flights booked help unload/set up and stay for dinner lol

It certainly helps but it's not gonna prevent me from fishing that's for darn sure!

Nice fish man. I love casting from a dock. Get the chair out, put a few cold ones in a cooler and spend a couple of hours just relaxing a casting. Perfect lazy Saturday afternoon!

Never put the punch line in the title. We have also had epic battles with tires, anchors, chain link fences and pieces of abandoned fish huts. We actually had a double header once with 2 tires.

I've been there. First time(if I remember correctly) I spooled up 20lb suffix 832 when it first came out, I snagged what I that was a huge sturgeon.

 

Turns out it was a hull of a tinny, I landed it lol

I canceled it 5 years ago. The kid on the phone said it's only $1.99 a month Sir, I told him that he wants to pay it for me I'll keep it otherwise cancel it. It was frustrating watching the crap on there. 30 minute TV commercials other than a few good ones like the "Tarpon Tour" then they stopped showing that. Al Linder was my Guru when I started fishing, when I saw his new series I wanted to cry, if I want religion I'll go to church or watch the 700 Club or call some of my in-laws.

I fished with Al. Funny thing, he doesn't talk about religion at all. We hit up 5 mile pre fishing for the fort Frances bass classic for hours.

 

Before that, I had met him a year or two prior at the bait shop, same scenario. He gave my son a box of brand new clackin raps for free.

 

He's an awesome guy. Never understood why his show ends the way it does???

If you rent a boat and motor you do zero maintenance. Most places want them to refuel in fact to make sure they get the correct oil/gas mixture.

OI, metal end goes through the gills and mouth, then through the loop. Fish never get off unless a musky or pike grab em lol

I have tonnes of tackle I can donate, much of it brand new. I usually give it to kids, but im out with an injury for the season and can't fish, would make me feel good to help ya out!
