  1. I use Northland personally

But jigs are jigs. Only difference really is weight, colour and the hook quality.

Get whatever ya can. I'd get some 1/4 and some 3/8 so so can fish shallow or deep. Obviously a 3/8 cast alot better and you can fish them shallow as well, you just need to speed up the retrieve.

For grubs I'd get 3", in black, white, chartruesse, etc just to have a variety. Any brand will do really.

  2. Yep your truck def did its job.

When my mom got hit in her car it was a miracle she got out with just whiplash and a concussion. The car was a pancake

Some drivers are horrible, for whatever reason(s)

Last summer my friend and two of his girlfriend's were forced off the highway on a corner by a semi driving in the wrong lane. They had no choice but to drive off the road. Unfortunately they launched into a lake and the two girls died. He made it with a broken neck and back. No idea how crazy the adrenaline must have been because he swam back down three times trying to get the girls out of the car. When he couldn't, he made it back up to the highway to flag for help.

His neck/back are okay now but he developed some wicked PTSD and had to go to therapy since

He sued the driver but one year later roughly and it hasn't yet been resolved

  3. I for some reason had a sudden burst of energy yesterday and was about to cut the grass. I said to myself it's going to rain and it's going to grow back anyway so it would be a waste of the new found energy so I went to the driving range. Last year my wife cut the lawn a total of 5 times, my wife has already cut it 5 times by June 1st. We usually have 5 different types of green weeds not grass, this year knowing how much she loves cutting it I gave it a good spread of Scotts something or other as seen on TV. There is 95% real grass this year. I hope she enjoys her lawn.

edit: so not to prove I'm a lazy ess so bee last Fall I bought her a brand spankin new lawnmower. I told her I would service it, sharpen the blade and keep it gassed up. For Xmas I bought her a new Ryobi 18V weed whacker. She loved it and I was told don't even think about using it. She cleans it and the lawnmower after every time she uses it, straight goods.

Hahaha im in the same "boat". I actually enjoy keeping up the lawn but the wife loves it more. Since my injury I've bought her a new lawn mower and just got a new weed eater yesterday.

We cut our lawn maybe 8 times last year. We're already at 5 times now, and 6 after today. It's finally cool out so it's a good day to do it.

My neighbors drive me nuts though. Dood mows like every 3rd day no matter what, so our lawñ always looks long lol

  4. On the rainy river I catch plenty of 8-10lb walleye still spewing eggs.

I can't comment on the science but I'd bet ever they spawn very well

But different water bodies could mean vastly different results.

And who the heck keeps a 9lb walleye lol. (Unless it's a once in a lifetime thing and going to be mounted)

I only keep walleye in the 13-18" range. If I can't find them it's panfish or pike for dinner/shorelunch

  5. Little bit of a trip but when I worked up there I loved Bluffy Lake in Ear Falls. If Keith and his wife are still running the camp there, you will never meet nicer people. I think the lodge and lake were featured on a fishing show a couple of times. The walleye fishing there is unreal with some big pike as well.

Hey I fished there too! Also wine lake, Doug something or rather owns it. Good fishing in there too and he has hottubs in the cabins lol

I think it's called sleepy dog cabins, about 20mins south or ear falls

  6. You could spend a lifetime on LOTW alone. I'm headed up there in 30 days. Friend of mine just bought a lodge there. I can't wait!!

    S.

    Pat Boyd???

Lake of the woods is unreal man.

Pipestone chain is really good too. Lots of good walleye, bass and big pike. Even Lakers

But I'd stick to LOTWs and maybe hit some of the backlake nearby for fun. Kegaki is really fun to visit. Tons of Lakers in there and you can sight fish at 90 feet deep lol
