  1. NEVER FORGET, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. there are literally 100,s of makes out there.some good some crap.Service techs and installers all take a cut on the machine plus thier installation charges. You may have paid less than 4000, but id be surprised if you got a 'DEAL'.
  2. So whats the solution? Personally, i don't think there is one really. We all have our morals, standards and the law to live with, and its up to each of us as individuals to interpret these. Laws are more specific and more binding than morals and standards, which are usually emotionally founded. I do not want to risk losing my gear because of a badly hooked fish.I have on rare occasions put an illegal fish back in the water after cutting the line or hook. I hate doing it, but i would hate to lose my boat and get a fine even more. AJF, your morals and standards are to be commended. You are the type who would risk it all to do what you feel is right.Bravo And the rest of you are also to be commended. You live by the laws put in place to protect this sport, and do all that you can to preseve it.Bravo to you all too !!! Now go to your corners and be good little boys and girls
  3. NEVER RUB ANOTHER MANS RHUBARB EH? i agree with all of your plans except 1. I think its a powerful enough motor for anyone. The Triton series of motors are some of the most powerful gasoline motors out there. Tune it up, make it sound purdy, don't try to increase power, do the bodywork over the winter. And definately make it a nice extension of your persona. IMNO
  4. lets talk btu.heat pump or straight a/c. dont forget under minus 10 or so, some heat pumps lose efficiency. and they run on 220 volts so may not be mucch of a savings in the heating dept. PM me later in the day when i get to work and i will quote you on the purchase of a unit. installation will be up to you.
  5. me too, Dad used to tell me that all the time.Maybe back then, but todays metals are far superior to those even 10 years ago.
  6. you actually did that Me too !!! it must be a genetic thing
  7. very noble of you.i admire your conviction.but i would not risk my boat tackle and my hard earned money on a fish that might die and fulfill its destiny in life. to nourish another living thing in the food chain. the way i see it anyways.
  8. my dear friend we call it a slip. kinda a cute little name for it eh
  9. and its also illegal to keep a slot sized fish. What a predicament...........................................................................
  10. We're like the dang FBI(Find Booze & Ingest) we should have a meeting
  11. its a darn good thing we didnt know each other back then eh Ron.we woulda gone up i a blaze of glory. they'd be still talkin about us to this day.
  12. Its a dirty job Dave. but someone has to do it.
  13. that was way too funny. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  14. i hear ya Dave Doctor used to aske, Paul, do you thinh you ahve a drinking problem. I'd always tell him no. I drink...i get drunk....i fall down...NO PROBLEM!!!!!!!! Keep us all safe Dave. A little info goes a long way.
  15. Thanks Dave as a guy sober for 21 years, i can tell you that i'm lucky to never have had a DUI because i deserved many.In most heavy drinkers, tolerance level to alcohol drops severly. At the end of my drinking career 3 beers would put me into a blackout state for many hours. Drink responsibly and stay alive Paul
  16. on a Triton, thats idle mileage.good for another 150K easy
  17. Ford makes an awesome truck. I just bought a Ranger Sport XL and love it.6cyl, and big enough to pull any boat i will ever own. Ya need to get some running boards, and a tonneau cover. I got the hard one that folds back in 4 sections. New chrome wheels would be a nice touch. While you're at it may as well instal a nice Bull Bar and front skid plate. and as the cherry, a nice diamond step rear bumper. Hey !!! why not ? I mean ya have to look good in your ride don't ya ?
  18. hey Matt i dont think it really matters if they soak in it,but it must get messy in the boat.
  19. i bet that once you get your hands on that new butt, your gonna have alot of fun with it. always satisfying to make things with your own hands.Great job
  20. looks like ya had a great time ! used to hunt partidge with my pops when i was younger.brings back memories congrats BTW there should be a hose guy in every crowd. they are what makes life fun
  21. oooooo...low blow.... i'm sure you are just kidding, right.actually they have a black guy from zimbabwa who lives in Montreal on the show this time.saw it after i posted that. Its more because the producers are too afraid to come here to interview potential candiadates.dont want to get thier cars smashed
  22. no way. i live here in quebec, and montrealers are the worst.Plus we dont need bmws to help us. We have 80's chrysler lebarons and ford broncos held together with duct tape and tie wraps.as long as it goes forward and has a big bumper to stop with. Our roads are like a veritable rolling auto museum.AND we have NO FAULT insurance.so even when we are in the wrong, we are in the right
  23. Angelina was one of the funniest so far.And we are allowed to turn right at red lites except on the island of Montreal, and execpt where they put a sign saying you cant.Talk about complicating our lives !!Kinda like taking a kid to a candy store and saying take anything as long as there is no sugar in it
  24. the drum is a once in a lifetime fish. Musta fought like crazy. The walleye are some beautiful fish. Fantastic colors. congrats all around.
